When I started blogging early last year, I had NO clue that I’d eventually need to figure out a way to read blogs in a more efficient manner. It was only a few to start with. Then I’d click here and then there and I’d end up on this blog that sucked a lot of my time away. I’d make a mental note to come back and check it out, or I’d subscribe to their email digest, but eventually, that became even harder to keep up with and would result in me deleting all the incoming blog notices from my email.
I was turned onto Google Reader and I LOVE it. I started dumping all kinds of site addresses in there and eventually – that too needed some clean up.
Now, I have things categorized in a way that helps me focus the time I’m reading blogs. I have an “A-List” folder which contains the blogs that I LOVE to read. Then I have categories from there – blogging information – parenting blogs – fashion/artistic – foodies – health/fitness. I even have a “testing folder” that I dump new blogs that I find into until I have a chance to get to know them better. After all, I might not want to commit to them YET – haha.
